Who sees your recordings
Who in your workspace can open your recordings by default, how to change it per meeting or recording, and what verbatim note sharing does.
By default, everyone in your Scalign workspace can open the meetings you record. You can change that for all your new recordings, for one upcoming meeting, or for a single recording. People outside your workspace never have access.
The default: shared with your workspace
Go to Settings → Recording → Sharing defaults. Share new recordings with the workspace is on to start with.
- On: everyone in your workspace can open your new recordings.
- Off: only you and the colleagues who were in the meeting can open them.
Colleagues who attended the meeting always get access, whichever you choose. The setting applies to new recordings; it doesn't change the ones you already have.
Change it for one upcoming meeting
Open the meeting from your calendar in Scalign, or find it under Upcoming Meetings in the desktop app, and switch Share with workspace on or off.
Change it for one recording
- Open the recording and click Share.
- Switch Anyone in workspace on or off.
- To give specific colleagues access, add them under Add a workspace member and click Add, then Done.
Each recording shows who can see it: Visible to workspace, Shared with a number of people, or Private.
The recording's owner can change who sees it. So can workspace admins, on any recording they can open. Admins can't open a recording that hasn't been shared with them, so a private recording stays private, from admins too.
Verbatim sharing: your notes
Show my notes word for word, under Settings → Recording, decides whether colleagues can read the text of your notes.
- On (the default): colleagues who can see a note see it word for word.
- Off: colleagues see that a note exists and what came out of it, never the text itself. Scalign's analysis uses your notes either way.
It applies to notes only. Who can open a recording and its transcript is decided by the sharing settings above.
Deleting a recording
Open the recording, click … and choose Delete call recording. The owner can delete a recording, and so can workspace admins who can open it.
