Follow up after a meeting
Send a follow-up written from what was said, update your CRM and book the next meeting, all from the meeting summary.
When a meeting ends, Scalign has already captured what each side promised. Your follow-up email, CRM update and next meeting are each one approval away, so the deal keeps its pace and you get back to selling.
Before you start
- Connect Gmail or Outlook so drafts land in your mailbox. See Connect your email: Gmail or Outlook.
- Connect your CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive or Attio) to update deals from Scalign. See the Integrations guides.
Open the meeting summary
Open the meeting in Scalign. The actions section of the summary lists every commitment from the meeting, yours, your team's and the buyer's, along with suggested next steps. Take each one straight from the list.
Draft the follow-up email
- From the follow-up in the actions section, choose to draft the email.
- Read the draft in Scalign and approve it. It builds on what was committed in the meeting: who promised what, by when, and who was in the room.
- Open your Drafts folder in Gmail or Outlook, make any edits and send it. Your signature, links and formatting are already in place.
Drafts fit the meeting: a short recap of decisions after an internal meeting, and a neutral summary when the context is mixed.
Update the CRM
After every sales meeting, Scalign adds a short note to the matching company in your CRM by itself. To change anything else, like moving the deal to another stage or updating its value, take the action from the list or ask the assistant. You see the change and approve it before anything is written, and you can edit a deal value before you approve.
Book the next meeting
Ask the assistant to book the follow-up meeting. Once you approve it, it creates the event in your calendar with a Google Meet or Teams link.
Keep your list clean
- Mark an action done once it's handled.
- Filter the list by status, owner or meeting type to see what's yours.
- An open action nobody has touched for six weeks leaves the list by itself, with the reason shown and one click to bring it back.
Follow up when there was no meeting
On a company page, suggested moves sit in the same list as your commitments. Draft a follow-up email straight from a suggestion, even when no meeting is linked.
