Connect ChatGPT

ChatGPT can connect to outside tools over MCP (Model Context Protocol). Add Scalign as a custom MCP server and you can ask ChatGPT about your meetings, companies and deals in the same chat where you write and prep.

Before you start

• On ChatGPT Business, only workspace admins and owners can add a custom MCP server. On Enterprise and Edu, admins and owners can, and admins can let selected members do it too.
• On ChatGPT Pro, you can connect Scalign with read access only. ChatGPT can look things up in Scalign but can't change anything there.
• Use ChatGPT in your browser. OpenAI's guide has the details for each plan.

Copy your Scalign server URL

1. In Scalign, go to Settings → Connections.
2. On the MCP card, click Set up.
3. Copy the MCP server URL: https://engine.scalign.ai/mcp

Add Scalign in ChatGPT

1. In ChatGPT, go to Plugins.
2. Select the + button, then Add custom MCP server.
3. Enter a name, such as Scalign. The description is optional.
4. Under Connection, paste the server URL.
5. Choose OAuth for authentication.
6. Read the risk warning and check I understand and want to continue.
7. Select Create as a plugin and review the Scalign tools ChatGPT found.
8. When ChatGPT sends you to Scalign, sign in and authorize access to your workspace.

Make it available to your team

On Business, Enterprise and Edu, a new connection starts as a draft. A workspace admin or owner publishes it: go to Workspace settings → Apps, select Drafts, then Publish.

Use Scalign in a chat

1. Start a new chat.
2. Type @ in the message box and select Scalign.
3. Ask your question. Try one of these:
   • "Summarize my meetings with customers and prospects from the last 7 days."
   • "Who's on the buying committee at [company], and who's missing?"
   • "What are the open actions on [company]?"

Selecting Scalign applies to that one message. When a follow-up needs fresh data from Scalign, mention it again with @. For more ideas, see Use Scalign in Claude and ChatGPT.

What can ChatGPT see in Scalign?

The same meetings, companies and insights you see in Scalign, as the user who authorized it. ChatGPT may ask you to confirm before it changes anything. ChatGPT is listed on the MCP page in Scalign with the date it connected; click Revoke to cut it off. It will have to authorize again to regain access.
